Meeting Minnesota Domestic Violence Education Program Requirements
All programs are in accordance with Minnesota State Statute 518B.02 requirements
My Domestic Violence Education Classes are designed to meet the requirements and expectations established under Minnesota law and standards commonly utilized by courts, probation departments, and other referring agencies. The curriculum emphasizes client accountability, victim impact awareness, healthy relationship skills, emotional regulation, cognitive restructuring, and behavioral change while maintaining a trauma-informed framework that supports meaningful engagement and long-term success.
A critical component of an effective intervention program is collaboration with the criminal justice system. I work closely with referring Probation Officers and other court personnel by providing regular updates regarding attendance, participation, progress, and compliance with program requirements. Timely and accurate reporting helps ensure accountability while supporting informed decision-making by supervising authorities.

Domestic Violence Education Through Understanding, Awareness, and Change
Domestic violence is a complex issue that cannot be effectively addressed through a one-size-fits-all approach. I provide Domestic Violence Education Classes that integrate both trauma-informed principles and cognitive behavioral strategies to help participants understand the underlying factors that contribute to abusive and violent behavior. By exploring the impact of past experiences, beliefs, emotions, and learned patterns of behavior, participants gain insight into the drivers of their actions and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. This dual approach is highly effective in identifying the roots of harmful behavior, challenging thinking patterns that support abuse, and promoting lasting behavioral change, accountability, and healthier relationships.
Real change begins with understanding, self-awareness, and the willingness to learn new ways of thinking and relating to others.
